I bought human hair extensions from Sally's I never have used extensions before... so I heard you had to cut the line so I did.. and I have the Clips so I hot glued the clips to the hair line pieces and when I put them in.. It looks so terrible.. it feels heavy and not good at all.. and feels like they are going to fall out.. any help?!
Advice, tips, anything?
Ooooh wow you messed up your hair! I know real hair is expensive, ESPECIALLY from Sally's.
This is what you do. Buy your hair, and take it to a salon. Unless you buy clip in extensions by Ken Paves, you don't even need to TRY it yourself. Extensions only look good if they go all around your head, not just in a couple places.
Your hair will either be sewn in, glued in, or you can get hair infusions.
Sew in tracks means that the stylist will make thin braids across the back of your head and around the top right up to the hairline, then use a needle and thread to stitch thru the tracks and you new braids to attach the hair. I'm wearing them now. A caucasian person can wear them for a week or two before the braids have to be tightened. I warn you, extensions are difficult to take care of, and you must be prepared to spend a few hours one or two days a week washing, conditioning, blow drying, and flat ironing very CAREFULLY so as not to pull the hair out and to match your hair to the extensions.
Glue ins are the same, except the hair is glued in at the scalp and blow dried to attach the tracks to your roots.
Infusions are incredibly expensive and VERY time consuming, though they last the longest.
Don't try to do it yourself.
Take out the extensions you've clipped in. If you really want them, it's something that takes a few days to get used to but the look is worth it.
