its short all around [like above your ears,almost bald] and in the back you have a few pieces of long hair. you see the hairstyle a lot in Scotland and in movies that took place in Scotland and places like such. does anyone know what im talking about? if you could give me the name of it and some sites where i can look at pictures, thank you so much!

I believe that's called a Mullet. There are multiple styles to it but it's still the same concept all around.

Mel Gibson sports one in Brave Heart and David Spade has one in the movie Joe Dirt.
