Steam when using flat iron?

i used the CHI flat iron today and I used heat protectant but there was steam rising from my hair after every time i straightened a piece of hair, is this normal? The heat protectant spray is called Ion I think

yeah, if your hair steams it means it is healthy, as in your hair is very hydrated.

the steam is only there because when your spray liquid on a hot surface then steam comes out. Like when u put water on a hot plate it evaporates and produces steam... :) it has nothing to do with the type of heat product you use...

If your seeing steam, the hair is wet,,,,, apply product, make sure the hair is dry...and proceed to the next step.
