Ok, I color my hair and I have this one piece of hair right in the front that sticks out on the left side of my head. I cant cut it cuz it will look funny its broken off from being colored. I have tried using my flat iron on it and it still sticks out. I have used just about everything imaginable on my hair: straigtening creams, hair spray, leave in conditioner, gel etc BUT nothing seems to work. Does anyone out there have any ideas to where I can get it to where it wont stick out pony tails and barrettes is not an option my hair is layered and it is highlighted so looks funny I want to be able to wear it straight down and not have that one piece of hair stick out! Please help?!??!

You could try buying some Matrix styling wax and just putting a little on the surface where it stick out, my hair seems to have the same problems in the very front and it works good.

wait for it to grow out. for the time being, use a bobby pin/hair clip. most preferably the pins that's your hair color.

When you have a serious hair issue like that, the best thing to do is go to a reputable stylist--one whom you trust, ideally one who's done the hair of other people you know. I'd advise against going back to the stylist who over-processed your hair to the extent it broke. You also might try a headband.

Agh i have a bit like that but it never grows! It usually stays down more if i blowdry it smooth

It might be what they call a cowlick. In case you are not sure what it is, a cowlick is a little tuft of hair that tends to be unruly and will tend to pop up anywhere. If you have one, you know exactly what it is and probably have waged your own hair wars with the dreaded wild hair. Cowlicks are most often found in the crown area but they may also be found along the front of the hairline around the face and the nape areas.

Since this could be the case, you may not be able to have your hair go straight down. The cowlick won't let you. Try a different style that will allow the cowlick to go in the direction that will work.

i have the same problem but what i do is just put water on it and it usually stays down if not you can always gel or hairspray it down
