I have very bad split ends, almost every piece of hair i have has a split end, but I am trying to grow my hair out, and i dont want to get it cut at the salon, or pay the money when I just went a couple weeks ago.

your hair must be pretty unheaqlthy if you went a few weeks ago and you already have a ton of split ends! but just use good shampoo (i like Dove or Herbal Hessances) don't be cheap! good shampoo and conditioner works!!!
