Whats the best way for curls to stay longer?

What are the best products and conditions to keep curls in medium length hair? (my hair is about shoulder length or a little longer) Should I blow dry it or let it dry naturally because I have some natural waves in my hair or should I straighten it and then curl it? I have a ceramic curling iron and sometimes it seems like my hair it too soft and smooth and the curling iron just slips right off my hair and makes it really hard to curl shorter pieces. Should I put product in first or spray it with hair spray after its finished?

Easy Peasy Curls:

1. Wash ur hair in curling shampoo or regular shampoo

2.comb out ur hair

3. Put ur hair in curlers

4. Blow dry ur hair with the curlers in

5. when dry , take out the curlers and add garnier frutis sleek and shine spray

6. you can also add some hair spray so the curles stay in

The curling iron doesnt work that well, also you dont really need to straighten then curl ur hair. Ive always used the steps above and they work

When it's still damp, not wet then put your hair up in about 3 buns :] then, put in AUSSIE sprunch spray to keep it in . This is what i do . oh yeah, take out the buns when your hair is about dry. to help enhance the curls, blow dry them while in the bun .

My hair is about the same as yours; a little longer than shoulder length, naturally wavy. To get my hair at all curly, I have a shower the night before and spray it with hairspray or put mouse in it. Then I braid it, and leave it to dry overnight. In the morning, I take it out, and spray it again, then (if it's still damp) blow dry it with a difuser. (This helps against frizzy-ness). Sometimes I spray it one more time for good measure!

depends on whether you have really tight curls or loose ones.

Hairspray is a must....by spraying at the roots...but not too much on the curls, because they can become crispy and too hard, which doesnt look atractive.

but yeh use hairspray and also a curling spray, theres a great one by Loreal...called "Curl memory" or something, check it out.

to make them stay, separate the part you are going to curl and spray a little hairspray all over the strand, (no too much tho) then after u curl it don't touch it, wait for it too cool off. that should help them stay :)
