My birthday is on the 26th so I'll be receiving some money. :) I already have a relaxer in my hair, but even with the relaxer my hair is still pretty frizzy...a little more than I'd like it to be. When I went to the salon they used an FHI on my hair and it made the pieces stick together and it felt much better. However, I want to make sure that even without the relaxer this iron will work on my hair. I have thick, curly/wavy, and frizzy hair. So out of all these, which would you most recommend and WHY?
Out of FHI, CHI, Solia, or Sedu; which one would you say is best?
As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons, including Sedu, HAI, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss GHD, T3, Kenta etc.
In terms of performance:
The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, GHD. These are top of the line professional brands
Above average: CHI, HAI, Paul Mitchell,
Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss
Below Average: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap
consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

Well, happy early birthday!
I have a Solia, and it's amazing. It's only $85-ish, and goes up to 450 degrees, which is the same as CHI. Sedu and Solia are considered the best, but Solia goes up higher. The Solia also makes your hair shinier and smoother, and makes your hair look really natural

Do NOT get CHI. my family went thru 5 CHI in 3 yrs. Chi breaks within a few months and you have to pay $35 plus shipping to get it fixed. Their warranty is worthless!
U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission just announced a recall of Chi flat irons due to fire and burn hazards:
