Short Haircut?

Does anyone know of a short haircut, kinda but not really poofy on the top(scratch that. Not POOFY, just doesn't have a part), has like, pieces, by the ears? I know this may sound strange to the extreme, but I finally figured out what I am going to do with my hair and I can't find any pictures of it ANYWHERE! The only time I saw it was at an airport and it was perfect. The only problem was that it would look sort of insane if I asked the lady if I could take a picture of her hair. You know?

Pics. are preferred. (no emo ones though)

The person who gives me the pic I am looking for DEFINETLY gets the best answer "award."

I would recommend a short side parted pixe. Take it above the collar in the back and around the ears with lots of layers. This is a bold haircut but will let you stand out and will show you have a great deal of self confidence and a sense of adventure. Besides, long hair is going out of style.

Tell me what you think of this one. It is the same hair cut I have, if I style it.

The problem with most short hair is that you have to style it to get it to look good, or even go out of the house :P

Like my stylist said it isn't a wash and wear out hair cut.

If you want to take the time to style it everyday then I say okay.

Although I have found even the highest priced hair products still make my hair look greasy and gross

This is how my hair is. I cut it after a girl on dancing with the stars. It kinda has a part on the side, but it sounds how you're describing it.
