It was a choral arrangement that included Shenandoah, He's gone away, and Black Is The Color of My True Love's Hair blended into one piece while switching through the three reoccuring themes.
I remember singing it in a chorale about that time and having the honor of being conducted by the arranger of the piece at an event in WV at the Pine Room in Wheeling, WV's Oglebay Park. I understand that he did other venues with high school and college students as well.
I have searched the internet for a while, but can't seem to find mention of this particular arrangement. Even worse, for some reason I have gotten this piece stuck in my head for about 5 weeks. Any help locating this piece would be appreciated.
I am looking for a choral arrangement called An Appalachian Rhapsody from around 1982-1985.?
Is this the arrangement you're looking for?
