1 Shampoo/conditioner to solve all these problems..?

I'll try to describe my hair as best as possible: DARK brown, looks black from far, male, really short (3/4in). I am mixed, and so my hair is straight/wavy. Here are the problems with it:

-Hair falls out. When I take off my shirt each day, there are pieces of hair all over it. And so hair is on my shirt all day long.

-Hair feels EXTREMELY rough. I'm not being sarcastic or exajorating, my hair feels like a scotch bright. It is coarse and spongy. I hate it.

-I wash it everyday and dry it properly, and put in leave-in conditioner too. I just have to wash it everyday, it's a personal thing :P.

-When I wash my hair, when it is wet, and like conditioner is in it, it feels sooooo good. So soft, smooth, and straight. But when it dries, it gets bad again.

-My scalp itches 24/7!!!

So my question is, which shampoo and conditoner do you recomend. Herbal essences hello hydration is good, but does not solve all the problems, only the moisture. Scalp still itches, hair still falls out. thank

Moustrizing Dandruff shampoo (head and shoulders) and brush your hair in the shower to get any hair that is going to fall out caught in the brush instead of everywhere else. I am a girl and have that same problem and thats what i do to make it a better.

I am really not sure about this since you are mixed. Have you asked a beautician about this? They will have answers for you.

Look for a product called "Hair Food". Its yellow and in a clear container with a black lid. My hair dresser is Latina and uses it for alot of her clients. I dye my hair ALL the time, and I put it on my hair once a week at night, and wash it out in the morning. It really helps soften and hydrate your hair/scalp.

I used to have the same problem, but I went to a good salon and they stripped the chemicals out of my hair that regular shampoo leaves behind. The more you wash with cheap shampoos the more the stuff builds up and bye bye hair. IF this does not work, go to your doctor and see if you have a problem with your thyroid- this can also make your hair really fragile and break off all the time ( not to mention the weight gain and feeling tired all the time). If all else fails, see a dermatologist.

u got a real problem there.. maybe u should not wash it every day, like i kno when i do that my hair falls a lot so try washing it every other day..the chemicals in shampoos are very strong and they weaken your hair roots...about the itching either your scalp is very dry, maybe cuz of a lot of sun exposure or maybe u have some kind of condition, the best thing u could do is consult a doctor and they will refer you to an specialist.

I think you're having pre-alopecia condition if not dandruff problem. It can also be caused by the brand you are using. Have you tried Pantene Total Care? It might lessen the problem.

Here are some tips that might help you avoid the problem:

* Avoid using hairstyling products with harsh ingredients, which can dry out the skin of the scalp or irritate existing scalp conditions. Read ingredient labels before purchasing.

* Shampoo hair in lukewarm water閳ユ攬ot water strips away natural oils of the scalp that protect the skin.

* Avoid overwashing hair, which can also strip protective oils.

* Choose hair products made for your specific hair/scalp type.

* Learn to relax, which may help to avoid stress-related conditions. Take up an interesting hobby, go for a long walk or try something enjoyable to help ease stress from work, family and other sources.

* Severe or chronic scalp itch should be brought to the attention of a physician.

Hair, like human beings, has a life-cycle. Every hair that grows must fall out one day. New hair will grow at the same place, after some time.

There is a natural balance between the rate at which hair falls and the rate at which new hair grows. Any disturbance in this balance can result in an emotionally discomforting condition of either an excess fallout of hair or hairiness all over the body.

Now-a-days, excess loss of hair is very common. It happens for various reasons such as emotional and physical stress of city life, local scalp infection, adverse drug reaction, hormonal imbalances during teenage and pregnancy, etc.

Factors that determine hair loss

Over the past several years, dermatologists have made some interesting statistical findings that explain the pattern of hair loss. Curiously enough, the phenomenon of falling hair is provenly related to the rate of hair growth, length of the hair, age and even the color of hair.

It is normal to shed from 50 to 80 strands of hair a day. It is normal for each of those hair to be replaced by the hard-working follicles. On any given day, about 90% hair are in the growing stage. This period lasts for about 1000 days. 10% hair are in the resting stage which lasts for about 100 days before the follicles eventually grow out.

Local Scalp Infection

Bacterial, viral or fungal infections can cause spot fall out of hair. It can, however, be treated with medicated shampoos and lotions.

Diseases

Internal disorders and infections which cause high fever such as flu, pneumonia and typhoid are often accompanied by excessive hair loss.

Chemicals or Drugs

Antibiotics and a durg called Cortizone administered sometimes in treating acne and scars lead to hair loss. Chemical therapies given in serious diseases such as cancer, cause the excess fall out of hair.

Emotional or Environmental Stress

People unable to cope with pressures of life, all the time worrying about the problems at work place or home, having most of their emotional conflicts unresolved, are easy victims of excess hair loss.

Conditioners %26amp; Treatments

Aveda brilliantine conditioner and Back to Basics Sunflower conditioner are great. Also try a hot oil treatment before you wash your hair. Your hair needs plenty of moisture, and oil treatments are great for this.

Jojoba oil is one of those great oils for the hair, you will definitely see a difference, AND it is also very good for the skin.

Redken's All Soft line

Leave-In Detangler

A light leave-in conditioner, hair is smooth and soften when you apply. Combating fly-away hair while adding shine, it leaves hair glossy, healthy-looking and tangle free. Also contains a UV protector.

Aesop Rose Hair and Scalp Moisturising Masque

A weekly hair treatment to replace lost proteins and moisture, this hair masque is perfect for intensive and effective conditioning. Contains rose petals, bergamot rings and lavender stems. Think of this product as a multi-purpose vitamin capsule for dull and stressed hair. A perfect at-home treatment with salon-style benefits.

i would try American Crew. It will make your scalp tingle, and stop the itching. It also is really good for your hair. I recommend using your fingernails to exercise your scalp, to exfoliate it. If the dry scalp continues after using the Crew for a few weeks, see a doctor. The feeling of the hair may be scalp related, fix that first, then see how it does.

what about the product johnson and johnson detangling conditioning spray. usually you buy it spray it on a childs hair .. makes it softer easier to detangle in kids with the longer hair. i've seen some kids come into salon with tangling so bad hairdress had to cut inchces of the hair off or

i think that for mixed hair there are special products that condition . i do know that i work with a black woman and she told me that for several years she could not find the products right for her hair in local stores and had to travel some 60 miles to be able to get what she needed. Eventually , stores began to address the consumer and now we have about 1/4 of an aisle that is specially for the black hair proper products. i think care / styles can vary . natural is different from flat ironing . hair colors need to be different formulas to get desired color that is person desires. i think you need someone with education / professional hairdresser to advise on the right care.

i personally have something called a glossing drops. i don't see why it wouldn't work for any hair. you just put a few tiny drops in your finger tips and then work it through the top / highlights area for extra sheen / definition.

are your vitamin levels all okay ? if you have poor nutrition this can cause the loss of hair. extra water should help with dryness. dandruff formula for dry skin might help. talk to dr and to hairdresser that has experience with you hair .
