The most important thing is to get your name out there. Make an 8闄?X 11 flyer up and distribute it in the local newspaper. Check with them 1st to see how many you'd need and the cost, etc.

It doesn't have to be in color but use colored paper so it stands out. You can have them printed at Staples, Office Depot, Kinko's, etc. Check with the salon owner/mgr. to see if it's ok to have some sort of coupon to use when they ask for you and bring in the ad. A friend of mine used this technique when she opened her nail salon and got tons of business from it.

start making a design for flyers take them to kinko's.....if u have a portfolio....take it around with ur flyers and show them to people if their iffy........sometimes if ppl really like ur hair u can start making appointments in advance!

well, u want to advertise. at first u need to start off with a small attraction like a sale. then you have to go to the mall and give out free gift certificates to people u think wants a makeover then those people might think u do a great job and spread the word. Now this might be a slow process but you'll be glad

if you EVER hear anyone talkin about their needing to be done tell them that you do hair. show them examples of people you have done work on before.

make sure people know that your a stylist and then once you start a getting a some clients coming in and you do their hair and they like it they will spread the word.

just really try to get it known so people will know who to come to.
