i know the most effective solution

put some olive oil on it..

it softens the gum and u can pull it out gradually

keep using the olive oil until all of the gum has come out

then u can wash ^_^

it happened to me before

and olive oil saved my hair from the scissors...

Don't cut your hair yet! Rub some peanut butter into the gum. That will probably take it off.

lol, take a ice cube and rub it on the gum, after a couple minutes the gum will hareden and will slip right off!!!!!! (while not stcking to ur hair the whole time) the ice will just harden - ever drink ice cold water while chewing gum'??? notice it get super hard and not fun to chew?? well...ya

peanut butter, baby oil or olive oil will work. Olive oil is really good for your hair as a conditioner, I have heard that ice will work on gum and wax too. They say that it will harden but not stick to the hair or carpet and then you can peel it off. I have never tried the ice though!

Two excellent ways to remove gum from the hair is to use ice or peanut butter. Peanut butter is best because it breaks down the gum and any oil from the peanut butter is washed away with your shampoo!

I've had gum stuck in my hair plenty of times. I always run really hot water over the gum and it just melts right off. But if the gum is too close to your scalp the hot water might burn you! Good luck!
