Help me before i beat the hell out of my father?

Someone give me advise before i do something stupid and kick his *** so bad he will be in hospital. Tonight right before i sit down my cat is in one of the chairs the one my dad sits in. Before he sits down he smacks the cat really hard like 3 times for no reason at all just for her 2 move. We usually always let her sit on the chairs. So me and older bro which is 25 responded what the hell are you doing and he said a dumb comment. So i smacked him not hard but a good lil smack 3 times just to tell him never touch my cat like that for no reason ( im very close to my cat) ok so at dinner there is a piece of cat fur and my dad was talking about cat situation. There was a piece of cat hair on table. My bro jokinly said i can easily blow this in your plate if you dont stop complaining about cat ( it was a joke ). All of a sudden winds blows fir into dads food and he takes my bros food plate throws it on him then my bro responds by throwing back. Now a huge fight everyones pissed.

You are a violent family, and the only thing I can tell you is that violence is cyclic. If you want this fights to stop, you're the one that has to make the decisions and act.

My advice is, if you are an adult, take your cat and find some other place to live.

..sounds like maybe it's time for all of you grown up "kids" and the cat to move out on your own and leave dad alone in the house with his chair.... fighting, hitting, anger, aggression is not the way to go....

You could just ignore him for the rest of your life, but you'll probably regret it when he dies. My grandfather and my mother are the same way. They never get along. They freak out over everything. Sit down with him and talk to him and tell him what it is that he does that ticks you off. Apologize for things you've done in the past and see where it goes from there.

Good luck!!!

I think you all need counseling.

i agree, violence isnt the way to go, but ide be really angry about him hitting the cat as well, poor thing. i can see the funny side of the fur blowing on your dads plate, thats the sort of thing ide do. hahaha!!!!

He's your dad...so don't do anything that would piss him off.

I mean why don't you just start to talk to him nicely and try to care about him more than cat...

I have cats in my house too and I love them but of course I love my dad a lot more...

Can I ask one thing... the chair that you fight over..was that you or your dad who bought and paid?

no worries. fights happen. at least he don't treat you like he don't even know you (I hope not).

It sounds like you, your brother, and your Dad need to stop pulling at each others strings. Violence is unacceptable, especially when it comes to family.

Its time for you to move %26amp; take your cat with you. It sounds like there is alot of volence going on there and one these days everythung is going to blow.

Number one. If you were my kid and you hit me the cops would be there putting handcuffs on you and I'd be pressing charges of assault on your butt. I wouldn't doubt that your PARENTS paid for the furniture in their home and they have a right to expect YOU to keep YOUR cat off of it. If you can't take care of your pet properly then you don't deserve to have one. Don't like it then get your butt out, get a job and move into your own place and let your cat do whatever it wants to do in YOUR home.

Get rid of your cat, or move into your own place. Your father obviously doesn't like it and it's his place.

Start treating your dad with respect, whether you think he deserves it or not.

You might be surprised at what happens if you treat people how you'd like to be treated.
