I had brown hair and decided to go to an ashy blonde with some more golden blonde woven through. Basically it turned into two very heavy weaves and the first time it was toned with an ash toner, the second with a more golden.
I really don't like the color and wanted to just change it drastically to like a more platinum blonde with little pieces of beige. My hair already feels pretty dried out and I was wondering if this would be a lot more damaging than it would have been to go this shade straight from when my hair was brown.
Is it hard to get the ashy/golden toners out? Are weaves really hard to reverse? I'm just frustrated with trying to find a nice shade of blonde.
Thanks so much for any blonding help!
Switching shades of blonde...more damaging?
hmmm i had a similar problem. i don't know if this will help you but yeah i have naturally dirty blonde hair and use to dye my hair platinum blonde. My hair became soo dryed out and damaged that i had to have a lot of it cut. ( i also straightened and blw dryed it every day which im sure didnt help any ) anyways its been a couple years and now i dye my hair 3 shades lighter then my natural - still looks great and my hair is finally starting to grow long again. if you have short hair i wouldnt wrrytoo much about the long term effects of the dye since youll be cutting it so much - also use leave in conditioner over night or even a hot oil treatment like alfredo v5. My hair always feels so soft after using them. As for the altering blondes one after another you mentioned. My hair dresser always tones down the light blonde after with a seperate dye and my hair hasnt been fried yet. So i'm sure you'll be fine ;)

Well when you use an ash then a golden, they are working against each other and dont turn out as well. The toner will bleach right out. Usually it isn't left on too long and is a demi permanent color. If your hair feels real dry and brittle I suggest not bleaching again but maybe using a different blond on it. After you do some protein treatments. Go get one done, they usually cost like 10-15 dollars at Supercuts, and pick up some Anti-Snap to use at home. Which the protein will build your hair back up to take some more abuse. However you still have to be very careful!

Color weaves are damaging, and if hair is already dried out you have a problem.
Becuase, a new color will need to be applied and since you are a Brunette by natrual color they can not lift your color or change it without adding more harsh chemicals.
Platinum is impossible to do without bleaching and its too risky now.
Should have do that in the first place,
give your hair a break from any color and condition it real well daily, and use a mild shampoo.
Get hair trimmed on a regular basis and get rid of most of your woven hair color and try it, make sure it is exactly what you before you go stripping all of you hair.
It is a real harsh process.
Best of luck
