$65 million dollar lawsuit?

I agree that the dollar amount for the lawsuit is outlandish but the lawsuit itself is relevant. If I am paying for a particular service I expect the service to be fulfilled. Once I took my clothes to an Asian owned cleaners, went back a week later to pick them up and found that they didn't clean my clothes at all. My clothes still smelled of my perfume and I also found pieces of my hair on them. In part I think the lawsuit is sending a message to all the crooked cleaners. What you think?

What a greedy, unethical lawyer. $65 million is simply not enough! We need to send a message to our juries to expect more stupid frivolous lawsuits.

A guy at work told me about this story.

I think your suit is relevant but I think asking for 65 mill is outrageous and I hope no judge in this country would ever grant those damages.

The judge initiating the lawsuit must have lots of free time on his hands. I could see suing for a thousand or more dollars because they were in breach of their own policy, however, to sue for $65 million is just crazy!

I highly doubt a jury will award him that much money. They might give him up to $2,500.00 but that'll be a lot too! Besides, where are the owners going to get that kind of money? You can't get blood from a turnup.

That is way to much to ask for from a cleaners. Come on you wouldn't even get have of that back. Ask for a better amount.
