Prom Updo Question! In 2 days:] Please answer kinda confused:[?

Okay I hope this make sense. You know how when u put a bannana clip in your hair its kinda like a long pony tail? I want an updo where my hair still looks long. Im thinking of like.. i dont know how to explain it. Bring the front of up like small pieces.. and gradually bring up other peices as a banan clip would. And then have that as soft curls. The front of my ahir is a lil passed by shuoulders and the back goes almost half way id say. Can anyone tell me if this hair style makes sense? or if they have a pic of something like that i would LOVE that cause i'm having trouble figuring out how to explain it to my hair dresser:-/

That is a classic half-up updo. There will be books of hairstyles at the salon. Also try looking up pictures of movie stars or google "prom updos"

Sounds like you want a cascading style. Cascade hair styles mean that you start by pulling it up and you gradually let it down.....below are some links to help you. It is mostly done for bridal hair, but it would look great for a prom as well....
