Has any one tried to guess the baby's sex by dangling their wedding ring over their belly?

Were the results correct? And which way means what? If it spins it's a what? If it swings it's a what? Did you use a string or a piece of your hair? Is it just a old wives tale?

If it goes in a circle it's a girl and if it goes back and forth in a straight line it's a boy. It says that I'm having a girl, we will see in about 8 weeks.....

I don't remember how it is supposed to go, but it was right for me. So was the Chinese lunar calendar (which was also right for all 3 of my friend's kids).

No, but someone once did the pencil over my veins and it was right on the money. It said I was going to have a boy first, a boy second and a girl last and that's what happened. Pretty cool, but I really think all those little tricks are just old wives tales. Someone tied a piece of string on the end of a pencil and you hold it over your veins and I believe if it swings clockwise you are having a boy and if it swings counter clockwise you are having a girl. But for me all those things are just fun and games to play. Also, the chinese calender was right for my last 2 kids, but wrong for the first one. Have fun and Good Luck!!

I used both a peice of string and my hair. Both times it went back and forth (boy). I found out I was having a boy. It was right with me but I know of people who did it and it was wrong. Yes it is just an old wives tale, but they are still fun. I did tons of them. Most said boy a few said girl though. Just have fun with them until you know if its a girl or boy. Don't expect them to be correct though

I did that test with a string and my wedding ring and it said i was having a girl. It was wrong every time. Im having a boy in a few weeks. However, it has been right for a few of my friends!
