I have gross bangs.?

I've got side-swept bangs that are short but have a longer piece of hair framing my face. My bangs tend to get this really weird looking curl at my ear. I blow dry it, and it looks normal, but curls again after about an hour. I've also tried straightening it, and clipping it. Same thing keeps happening :[ I usually hairspray it after I get it in the shape i want it. It seriously doesn't work. Suggestions??

I have gross bangs.?

Sounds like you tuck it back, if you push it behind your ear it will end up taking the shape of your ear. To keep it stick straight spary hair spray before you flat iron it will give a ribboned look, comb once -one pass - and if you don't tuck it back it should stay all day.

I have gross bangs.?

let it grow so it won't be a bang.

Does the technology used in the tv series CSI realistic or is it just a scheme to make us feel safer

Can they really tell such information from a small piece of hair or blood? do u know any sites which prvide information on such technology? What kind of crime qualifies for such an investigation?

Does the technology used in the tv series CSI realistic or is it just a scheme to make us feel safer?

Dateline or 20/20 did a story on this. They can pretty much

tell alot from a strand of hair, but, identifying the hair to

one particular person, is close to impossible.

Alot can be determined from DNA, but it's not always

reliable due to how it's obtained %26amp; stored.

Another unrealistic thing about CSI, is that in real forensic

labs, testing is done under the brightest lights, unlike

the shadowy darkness portrayed in the TV show.

I agree with Caldude, what CSI can find out about DNA

or blood in an hour, usually takes weeks for the results.

Does the technology used in the tv series CSI realistic or is it just a scheme to make us feel safer?

HELLO ---- FICTION!!!!

Does the technology used in the tv series CSI realistic or is it just a scheme to make us feel safer?

The one thing I laugh about when watching CSI, is how quickly they find out the information they need.

Most of the techniques shown on CSI used for identification, are used by modern law enforcement as well, but generally take weeks to process, instead of minutes.

Does the technology used in the tv series CSI realistic or is it just a scheme to make us feel safer?

Although much of the technology is based on real world tech it is frequently used in an unrealistic fashion. In order to stay interesting the writers seem to emphasize bizarre death situations, the better for the CSI team to bring their skills to bear upon.

In the real world these tools are used in a more mundane fashion, on murders that are much less "interesting." Blood and fiber analysis is very important even if the case isn't about a scuba diver who gets sucked into a firefighting water dropping plane and dropped on the Hollywood sign. ;)

Does the technology used in the tv series CSI realistic or is it just a scheme to make us feel safer?

I suspect most of the technology is real enough - what isn't real is the sheer number of people who concentrate on one single case until it is solved. Same thing with most detective type shows - someone goes missing and the FBI assigns an entire department on that single case until it's solved.

With the sheer number of crimes that take place and the limited resources available - that's not likely.

Does the technology used in the tv series CSI realistic or is it just a scheme to make us feel safer?

Finding suitable hair or fingerprint or viable epithelial cell is unlikely. If it is found, and if someone recognizes the significance of it at the time, and if the department has the money for testing, and if the lab foks aren't already jammed up with hundreds of other cases, then all the tests seen on the show can be performed, although the do not always yield clear results. A regular DNA test on a clean sample like blood can take six months and it is never done before the commercial is over. Furthermore, the lab test cost many thousands of dollars and the taxpayers do no provide the departments with unlimited funds.

Minor imperfections in hardwood floor refinish?

I just had my hardwood floors refinished. Upon inspecting the floor, there are a couple minor things that got stuck in the varnish. One is piece of hair, also a couple slivers of wood. Is this normal or should I complain?

Minor imperfections in hardwood floor refinish?

It's normal and if thats it your contractor did a good job.

Minor imperfections in hardwood floor refinish?

dont worry about the hair.

the slivers of wood, you could probably scrape

out with your fingernail.

if you have your car washed, and upon getting home you

notice that they missed a small spot under the whell well.

are you gonna drive all the way back to the car wash to

complain.. i hope not. yes they professionally washed your

car. point is, your floor is not a space shuttle, its a floor, it

doesn't need to be perfect..YOU WALK ON IT..

im sure they did a great job.

How do u get rid of a dust spot off the SLR camera? (tried the blower thing)?

i tried that rocket blower thing still no help after numerous tries

the mirror itself looks spot clean, yet there are some spots on the pictures i take and when i look into the viewfinder i see a small piece of hair... help please

How do u get rid of a dust spot off the SLR camera? (tried the blower thing)?

Do Not Use Windex, nor any other similar product. Dirt on the mirror will not show up on your photo. Dirt in your viewfinder will not show up on your photo. It actually sounds like dirt on the back element of your lens. Try changing lenses and see if that helps. You didn't specify film or digital, but it it's a digital SLR your sensor may need cleaning. The potential for messing up your sensor is so great that it should be done by a professional. If it's a film camera check your shutter plate, there might be something on it that is causing the problem. If you can't identify anything take your photos with you to a shop (or send them with the camera if you are shipping it) and let them identify the problem. Getting your camera cleaned sounds like a good idea anyway.

How do u get rid of a dust spot off the SLR camera? (tried the blower thing)?

You did not say what kind of SLR you are using. If you are using a film SLR, there should not be anything that appears on the photos themselves as the light goes through the lens, bypassing the mirror and the focusing screen, during exposure. If you see it via the viewfinder, it's probably on the focusing screen (more so than the mirror).

The answer given earlier of using Windex--is dead wrong. I am really insulted that someone would even suggest that just to get 2 points. You might as well put some sand in your camera, too.

It is probably best if it's professionally cleaned. You might not want to damage the sensor (well, the protective glass / filter in front of it, I mean).

I freaked out, too, when it happened to my camera.

How do u get rid of a dust spot off the SLR camera? (tried the blower thing)?

None of the dirt in your camera will appear on your film.

If you have specks on your pictures, it's from poor developing.

How do u get rid of a dust spot off the SLR camera? (tried the blower thing)?

For digital and film SLR:

If you see a hair through the viewfinder, then it's either sitting on your focusing screen or (very unlikely because it would be blurred) on the lens. If you cannot remove the focusing screen, try canned air (do NOT hold the can upside down and prime the trigger first to get any moisture out) into the prism area. Do NOT blow air into the mirror box as this will make your image sensor unhappy and possibly damage the shutter curtain. If the focusing screen is glued in and a duster doesn't work, the camera will have to go to a repair shop.

For digital SLR:

Spots on the pictures often means dust/debris on the image sensor. Digital SLRs have a cleaning mode which lifts the mirror up so you can get access to the sensor area. I assume you used the rocket blaster there? The next step is to either get a cheap Kinetronics SpeckGrabber and try to lift the stuff off. I've also used the VisibleDust Arctic Butterfly but that's a $100 investment. You may want to send the camera to the manufacturer for cleaning.

Good luck!

P.S. Do NOT use Windex!

How do u get rid of a dust spot off the SLR camera? (tried the blower thing)?

I'm sorry to put it this way, but if you are asking what the mirror is for, you really need to take your camera to a service center where they clean sensors all day every day instead of messing it up yourself.

USE WINDEX, its a no brainer

How long does crank, ice, meth stay in your system?

I do not know anything about drugs. I think my hubby is doing it and his girlfriend. I would like to give him a pop up drug test to find out. Long story short he moved in with her and I heard things about them. Another sign maybe u could answer his face would get red like chapped or sunburned looking and he told me it was his soap that made it do it. He had lost some weight and now since he has been with her it looks to like he has lost a little more.B4 he left ,he wouldn't sleep that good a few hours get up then only dose (unbroken sleep). So that is why I think he is doing something WHAT I don't know.......please give a response...I don't know if it is ice or crank isn't that meth?So how long does it stay in your system and if he doesn't take a pee test , could I get a piece of hair and get it tested??

How long does crank, ice, meth stay in your system?

If he is acting paranoid too, that is a good sign of meth. Loss of weight and sleep could be a lot of kinds of drugs like cocaine as well. Meth is scary stuff so you need to call a center for more advice on how to deal with someone who might be on it. There are lots of websites as well. I think it stays in your system for about a day.

How long does crank, ice, meth stay in your system?

If you only do a little bit- it only stays in your system a few days- i know- i was tested after 3 days and passed! Report It

How long does crank, ice, meth stay in your system?

read the links on this page http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/meth/met...

there is just to many to list

if he dont take a urine test then that might be a good sign of drug abuse

chemical drugs last about 4 weeks in your system if not using contantly

now to be honest if he is an addict the chemicals last about 3-6 years in your system

i my self and also have a friend whos in rehab and the concellers told him and i that it will take at least 3 years to detoxify in the system.

i aint tryin to scare you hun but its the truth, and if wants the help and if you are very worried then you should talk to him and seek him help.

but i must tell you drug addicts are very hard to help if they dont want the help.

intervntion will work but some times a relaps will accure

and you yourself have no control on his situations.

yes confronting him will be hard but it takes time and ALOT of paitients, trust me hun.

please dont break yourself over his addiction ok

you can do everything in your power to save him and get him help but you are just gonna burn yourself out if you really want to find out get a sample like hair, saliva (if he smokes, a straw or finger nails) but that wont help you any nor him.

please be safe, addicts have wild tempers and they wont think twice on anything nor the concequences. he will drag you down his down ward spiral, and it will kill you inside

good luck hun, i hope all goes well if you would like to talk to me you can email me, there isint anything you can tell me that will shock me, i can help you through this, i have been down that road and now finally sober after a year and a half and i feel and good better, and i am willing to help by any means

take care of yurself, and stay true to want you know is right

How long does crank, ice, meth stay in your system?

If you find him in the grocery store with the cart upside down adjusting the wheels, he would be a tweeker.

Hopefully, it stays in his system long enough for the cops to nail him and get him off the streets.

Best waxing kit for starting out?

I am looking for something that isn't that expensive since i am just doing it at home and haven't done it before. and something that is safe enough for my eye brows, etc.

Oh, and for my hubby's eye brows, he is such a whimp when i pluck them for him, i rather just listen to him complain once vs over and over with every little piece of hair. lol.

Thanks!

Best waxing kit for starting out?

try veet

Best waxing kit for starting out?

NADs?

Best waxing kit for starting out?

Veet comes in a large range - from professional use to at home kits, including legs, bikini %26amp; underarm.

when doing eyebrows try a product that dries on the skin without the need for strips - something similar to the hard setting wax for brazillian waxing.

If in doubt search around your town for beauty salons and check out the prices - sometimes salon waxing isn't that expensive and they do a more thorough job as they do not need to be a contortionist to wax.

If your husband complains when you pluck his eyebrows - have someone else do them for him - maybe a friend and make sure they hurt him more - then he may actually want you to do it as your are more gentle - ( sadistic I know but it gets the job done).

Dogs with warts?

my dog has a raised bumb on his head that is dry scaly skin with just one piece of hair sticking through. It looks like it just appeared within a couple of days. What could it be?

Dogs with warts?

Its not likely to be a wart, more likely to be a fluid filled cyst. take him to the vet for proper diagnosis;
