how can you tell if a person has been in the presence of toxic mold? besides going to the dr. are there any other places that can test humans for toxic mold ? ive heard that lead test includes taking a piece of hair or something like that and it will tell you how bad its the presence in your body! any ideas????
I think that toxic mold is tested on the surface of wherever the mold grew.. not in a person as in "lets test him for toxic mold" because the mold will settle in your lungs and cause the problems... so first you will know that the person is sick... and then they trace it back to the mold.
Once someone is sick there are a couple of tests they can do. First they would do a blood culture to see if there was anything growing in the blood (it takes 72 hours to get a negative test). Also, in serious cases they will do a bronchoscopy and squirt water into your lungs. They then take the water and culture it... if mold grows... then they know.

There are certain blood tests that can be done to look for certain anti-bodies. IF the toxic mold gets into your body its called mycotoxins or mycotoxicosis. Tell your doctor about this. You can also get swabs of the mold and send it into a lab to get it tested for toxic mold. I have two girls 4 %26amp; 5. I have always tried to be the "enforcer" on rules; eating their veggies, brushing their teeth, not fighting! (right...) I haven't been a push over. Anyways, I am 20 weeks preggy now and getting tired. They just are not helping pick up their toys, craft papers etc. My house is becoming a total disaster area and I don't have the energy anymore to constantly yell or clean up after them. I've HAD IT! I need some techniques to restore order to my home. I speak and I might as well be talking to the door. I yell, they look for a second and go back to what they're doing. One is extremely head strong to boot. I really need advice from some experienced Moms or Dads out there before I pull my last piece of hair out!
Try taking away their toys. You can also have them get on their knees and face the wall. I used to do that to my nephews and my niece. You have to be smarter than them. If you take away what they like then they won't have anything left to play with. You get rewarded with things, so tell them until they behave and pick up after themselves, they will not have anything to play with...

Obviously they don't feel that there are any consequences to their actions. Tell them clean up or else........no TV, Goodies, Toys etc., and then follow through on punishment, if they think they can get past you they will, you have to tow the line and punish them. A swat on the bottom would go a long way
oh God bless you. pray mama pray! and they know what they are doing. yelling hardly works after a while. i would suggest you have a friend come in to help you at the crucial hours. some people hire someone however if you can not afford it look to friends or family. oh and use horsetail for the hair.
I've heard that when a person pays for a single piece of hair to be dyed a specific color, the salon will donate the money they receive to a certain cause or charity. For instance, the cost to dye one red strand would be donated to fighting AIDS; the cost to dye one blue strand would be donated to stopping child abuse. Is this true (for some salons, if not all)? If so, which colors represent which causes?

but i have heard of donating cut hair, iv been asked before iv been cut, if its ok that they use my trimings for donations, i give them ok and sign the release form and my left over cuts are donated. of course, it has to be 100% natural, and not-dyed, and the length requirements vary place to place. i donated 6-7 inchs. but i was planing on changing hair styles anyways, so it was a win win

I cant really say it was the worst thing because it was so much fun. Me and my family{My Mom, my 3 daughters, My sister and myself} All got into a huge food fight. It all started with a little dab of salad dressing I put on my Moms face. It started out slow at first and then we went balls to the wall. I would like to say that this is the first time this happened but it's not. It's only the biggest.We did try to help in the clean up....They said not to worry about it. I think they just wanted us to leave. Cant blame them really. The worst part of this restraunt experience for me was that I got Italian dressing in my eye and had a hard time driving the rest of the way home.

The person I was with got extremely annoyed with the waitress and went ballistic. It was really awful and embarrassing. I don't have the nerve to go back there, and I won't go out to eat with that person ever again. I used to be a waitress, and had my share of nasty customers, so I was on her side.

The waitress was overloaded and could not handle her work, we origionally told her we were going to a concert, so hoped to get out of there in an hour, however everything was slow and eventhough we did not complain when she bought the check she burst out crying and ran away. Hair samples do not have to be from your head for testing. Arm hair, pubes, nose...all work.

If you continously apply adhesive glue and have extensions sewn in and taken out again... It really does screw up your own hair at the scalp and causes bald spots.

It happens. Tell them nicely that you'd please like another pizza, or that you've lost your appetite and would like a refund. I've worked in resturants almost 30 years, and have had many many situations like that arise. Someone bit into a folded up bandaid in their clam chowder, and screamed at MEE! Like I'd done it to them. I walked out and quit that day. It happens. Just say something politely.

First of all, that was smart to check the pizza before you left the restaurant. I've been guilty of the "grab and go" technique. Not too bright of me because even if it's a place that "always" has high quality food, they are still human and have the ability to make mistakes. It really bites me in the butt (not checking my food before leaving) when I'm really hungry or drove 20 minutes away to bring food home.
But I digress...if I found the hair in a situation like yours, I would politely and quietly tell the person handling my transaction about the hair. I could make a big scene alerting the entire dining facility, but why embarass the employees--and myself? I mean, I do cook at home and, yes, it's true, I have cooked the occassional hair into the meal. Not due to a lack of cleanliness, it just happens sometimes. I figure if I can make a mistake, so can they. Sure, it's gross--whether it's their hair or mine--but if I handle the situation in a respectful way...well, it's just nicer for everyone involved.
Now if I believe they did it on purpose, I would speak with the manager or owner and would not return.

Unfortunately, a hair in food happens. YES it's gross. YES it's nasty. YES it can make you loose your appetite, but you shouldn't be a jerk about it. Nor should you rip a new one in the manager. Accidents happen. We are human. We have hair.
What "I" would have done, is been cool and calm about it. Since I know that this can happen, and I'm not ridiculous in my behavior, I would have spoke to whoever was at the counter. I would tell them that I just found a hair in my pizza, and would like to have another one cooked. I would not demand my money to be returned. The person working at the counter would more than likely tell the manager about what has just happened and the manager would probably either offer to give me the pizza free or offer me a free coupon or something. I highly doubt I wouldn't be reimbursed somehow. And if I wasn't offered anything, I would just get over it!
